Cossacks were peasant soldiers in Ukraine and in several regions of the former Russian empire who, until 1918, held certain privileges in return for rendering military services. The body of this sophisticated fine writing instrument is hand turned from a solid bar of mother of pearl red resin with silver glitter.

The cap in a black precious resin features a. 925 sterling silver cap extremity shaped as a Cossack hat, atop the cap is a disk engraved with the Cossack insignia.

Shaped after the Shashka, a Cossack's saber, the clip in sterling silver adds the finishing touches to the overall design of this beautiful writing instrument.
